Mandalorian Helmet

Here we have our Mando helmet! This model was again obtained online from “The Armory”. It printed in one piece very easily on the CR10. But as with all helmets, post processing took its share of time. Especially considering the helmet needed to have that mirror metallic finish. To accomplish this, first a ton of sanding went into the helmet. Once it was super smooth, then a high gloss black was painted over it which if we had then stopped there would have still looked really good. But then what we did was a graphite powder rub over the metallic black. When you do that and you then rub the powder off, it leaves behind the mirror metal finish seen here. A really great skill to use on other projects.
