Back to the Future Hoverboard

Here we have our Back to the Future hoverboard! This prop was printed in 3 pieces which were sliced using meshmixer software since it is just merely too large to print as one piece. Then all pieces were glued together afterwards. The model was obtained online for free and altered slightly to fit the print bed as well as fix some of the model errors. Other than that, this prop endured lots of post processing!

  • Printed on: Creality CR10 Pro version 2

  • Print time: ~1 month

  • Print medium: PLA

  • Post processing time (sanding, painting, etc…): ~2 weeks

  • The actual stickers were modeled in photoshop and then printed at Staples on a large form factor printer on cardboard stock. Vinyl adhesive spray was then used to stick them to the print
